What’s New

What’s New

Hey People,

A lot has happened since the start of this new Games Season. February was such a BUSY
month. As you might have seen from my Instagram and my vlog, ItMakesEnce, I spent the
better part of February in Utah, doin’ some NASTY Open prep with Brute Strength. While there,
I was able to spend some quality time meeting the women athletes at the University of Utah to
share my experience and personal growth as an athlete. I was also nominated for the Shorty Awards! For those who don’t know, the Shorties is an award ceremony to honor the best of social media. So that’s pretty F*****g awesome! Thanks guys!

The 23rd was the launch of my very own clothing line, inspired by all my People! Thanks to all of
you, Encewear was almost totally sold out in a matter of hours! Kick ASS! A big thanks to all
those who made that possible.

If you were not able to grab some merch before someone else snagged it outta your cart,
don’t worry, more is on the way! Upcoming Encewear will include more items for the guys.
Also, for all those who sign up for my facebook messenger VIP list, you will get first pick of the merch before it’s released to everyone.

March was the one year anniversary of my neck surgery. Just a quick recap, I ended up
needing a bone graft and fusion of my C-6 and C-7 spine. My recovery is ongoing, but I am
doing better than expected thanks to all the different treatment methods I have incorporated into
an already heavy recovery program. My surgery has been a huge challenge for me as an
athlete, but life is absolutely not without its challenges. Thanks to all my support both publically,
personally, and medically, I am a much stronger athlete for it.

I wanted to give a special thanks to all those who offered their kind words and testimonials while
I was in the thick of my surgical recovery. You were part of the fire that kept me going strong. I
hope I can be even half the inspiration you all were to me.

Don’t forget! My skincare line is scheduled to launch NEXT MONTH! So stay tuned. I’m super
excited about this and I think all of you will be, too.

A great thanks to all of you! You all inspire me so much to BE strong and BE bold! You made
the Encewear launch such an amazing success and I can’t thank all of you enough! More
exciting things are still to come!

So glad I found you on social media. I don’t do cross fit just normal weights in the gym and by no means look like I want but I’m slowly getting there. You are so funny and real, I enjoy your videos, even if I’m not in the CF community.

I ordered one of the long tshirts and love the fit! I’ll be ordering more for sure.

Keep it up!! You are hilarious and bring much fun and inspiration to many 😊😊😊😊

As someone who who has also had orthopedic surgery, I think it is really great that you shared your journey to the world and inspiring. I suffer from scoliosis and had rod’s placed when I was 14 years old. I am 41 now but Crossfit was always intimidating to me. I always thought I would not be able to do the workouts. But, I took the first step and tried it and fell in love. Watching your journey inspires me everyday, to keep going, stay committed and push myself. The scoliosis with always be in the back of my mind as I’m sure your neck injury, but not letting that stop me is the greatest thing. I also recently shared my x-rays post surgery with all my friends because what I went through is not something I share, but if it could show that Crossfit is not something that will hurt you but only help you become stronger…that would be great!

I can not explain how much confidence you have given in just the past 3 years of my cross-fit Journey, because of you I am no longer ashamed of my ‘manly’ body (as society likes to call it) and using it to my full advantage. Thank-you for always being 100% you, and giving us someone to look up too. I can’t wait to see your progress this year.

Hi Brooke! I’m a 47 yr old mother of four and grandmother of two. I have tried so many different types of workouts over the years but quit… mainly due to boredom. Though I was completely intimidated, I started CrossFit in February of this year and was hooked! I found your videos on YouTube and became an instant fan. Not only are you a badass but you, Mars, and your ‘Cholo’ buddy crack me up! You guys make this hard thing fun and I love it!!!

You are my inspiration my fave athlete you make me believe anything is possible. I have a condition myself called Charcot Marie tooth and specialists have all said I’d not gain my muscle back. Ibe been working so hard in the gym for the last three months a lot of cardio and I’m just now starting weight work so still early days very much so. I have muscles building in my calf’s arms and my abs are forming now. In regards to my calf’s etc and weakness with my hands. I’ve already proven them wrong and has given me so much fighting spirit. You must be so proud of your achievements and have come back stronger than ever. Much love. Sammy x
